IMPORTANT DIRECTION CHANGES from 3rd May 2010
Please note that there will be traffic
diversions in place over the next few months 1. From the Plymouth main A38 dual carriageway - Take the Embankment road, signed City Centre, from the Marsh Mills roundabout (Sainsbury's) and take and stay in the right hand lane. This will lead you into the City Centre Cattedown Roundabout - then follow/see instructions No.2 - 2. From the Cattedown main roundabout - Take the Cattedown exit from the Cattedown roundabout (beside the Plymouth Christian Centre), clearly laned and signed, into Cattedown Rd., - continue straight on until you come to the junction with what was Lucas (LSUK - now MAYFLOWER AUTOS) on the left. Turn left (into South Milton Street) and continue to the no entry signs now in front of you. Turn right into Beech Avenue and you will find Volks City up on your left hand side. There is a side entrance with ample parking at the rear. 3. From the Charles Cross roundabout (the bombed-out church)- Take the Exeter exit from this roundabout but stay in the right hand lane. After the first set of traffic lights, take the right hand slip lane into Sutton Road, (this is traffic light controlled) and continue onto Sutton Road. Follow this road to the next set of traffic lights and go straight over (into Commercial Road). Continue straight on (you will pass Victor Barry Tyres on your left) and follow the road around a sharp left bend. You will now have a long straight road (Clovelly Road) to the next set of lights, (passing the old gas storage tanks). Go straight across these lights and carry straight on - you will pass what was Lucas LSUK, on your left. Turn right into Beech Avenue at the no-entry signs in front of you (South Milton Street) . . . . Volks City is on the left at the top. 4. From Plymstock or Laira Bridge - Take the traffic light junction exit on Laira bridge, signed to Cattedown. This will bring you to a large roundabout. Carry straight across into Oakfield Terrace, go over the hill and turn left into South Milton Street (this is a one way street for most of its length). At the point where it becomes two-way traffic, turn left into Beech Avenue and you will find Volks City up on your left hand side. There is a side entrance with ample parking at the rear.
